Maria Alm Outdoor Swimming pool (Lido)

A short walk through the centre of Maria Alm takes you to the outdoor swimming pool.
The pool has a water slide, "river rapid" section, paddling areas and swimming lanes. There are also wooden decking areas to lounge on, and large grassy areas.
There is a nice cafe and bar, games, a ping pong table and a childrens play area.

PrinzenSee on Natrun

At the top of Natrun is the Prinzensee snow cannon reservoir which serves as a swimming lake throughout Spring to Autumn.
The water is crystal clear and surprisingly warm for a mountain top. There are rocks and benches to sit on and spectacular views in all directions.

Natrun - Adventure rope and zipwire course

On the top of the Natrun Mountain opposite the apartment is an adventure rope and zipwire course in the trees.
It's great fun for all the family but not for those who are scared of heights!

Mountain Biking - Downhill and Freeride

The apartment is perfectly situated for all types of mountain biking with cross country from the door and Leogang Bike Park only a 15 minute drive. In Maria Alm the Natrunbahn gondola takes you directly to the start of Flow One, an excellent flow trail suitable for all abilities but when ridden quickly provides an exciting ride for experienced riders. In Dienten, from the top of the Burglalm lift the is Flowtrail Hochkönig Dienten, a 4.2km natural feeling track with an excellent variety of trail conditions.

Maria Alm - Flow One trail

Leogang is a world class mountain biking centre and hosts a round of the UCI MTB Downhill cup every year. The bike park has a great range of tracks with varying levels of difficulty. It is possible to take buses to Leogang from Maria Alm (via Saalfelden) although we recommended using a car if possible.
From Leogang you can take the Asitzbahn gondola up and ride over to Saalbach and Hinterglemm to ride the great range of tracks in the valley. A great loop is to take the Worzel trail from Leogang over to the top of the Panorama Trail, ride down the Panorama (excellent intermediate jump trail) into Saalbach. From here you can take the Schattberg Express gondola up to ride the X-line trail (complete with the infamous road gap at the bottom), or just ride the first section of the X-line then take a short lift up to the West Gipfel to ride the fantastic Hackelberg trail or Bergstadl trail down into Hinterglemm. Turn left in Hinteglemm and a short ride will take you to the gondola to ride the Z-line, or turn right and cruise through Hinterglemm to the Reiterkogelbahn to ride Pro-line and Blue-line. At the end of the day roll down the river path from Hinterglemm back down to Saalbach and take the Kohlmaisbahn back up to the start of the Worzel Trail to ride back to Leogang.

Summer Toboggan (Rodelbahn) in Saalfelden

Just a 10 minute drive from the apartment is the summer rodelbahn on the Biberg mountain in Saalfelden.
You take a chair lift up, collect your toboggan then fly down the 1.6km course, just be careful on the bends, you do need to slow down for some of them!
